Dr. Lenisson Carneiro, “Lenny”, is a Physical Therapist who graduated in 2005 with honors from the Brazilian Institute of Rehabilitation in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, where he received his Bachelor’s degree. After validating his diploma in the USA, Lenny was acknowledged with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. In his nine out of fifteen years of experience, Lenny has worked intensively with neurological patients, especially Parkinson’s, incorporating new techniques, strategies, and further knowledge on a daily basis. He is a PWR! Moves Instructor/Therapist and Certified Clinician of LSVT BIG programs, specific programs which address impairments related to Parkinson’s disease. Also, Lenny became a Certified Exercise Expert of Aging Adults (CEEAA) and a Board Certified Geriatrics Clinical Specialist (GCS) through the American Board Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). He is also a Clinical Instructor (CI), endorsed by FPTA (Florida Physical Therapy Association). In February of 2020, he earned his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. His clinical interests are centered around neurological conditions involving adults and older adults such as Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke recovery; cognitive and motor impairments, and gait and balance rehabilitation in multi-disciplinary geriatric/neurological care.
